Megan
Welshofer began her training with Mr. Ken Kelly in 1994, at the age of six. In
1997 she was promoted to the rank of 1st degree and subsequentially earned her assistant
instructor's certification in 1999. In 2009, Ms. Welshofer was promoted to the
rank she currently holds of 4th degree.
Megan
actively competes for Stevens Family Taekwondo where she was female competitor
of the year in 2000 and 2005. She won back to back National Championships in
the 15-17 year old female division in 2004 and 2005. In 2007 Megan became the
National Champion of the Women’s 18-35 year old 3rd-5th
Black Belt division, and was named the CTF competitor of the year during that
same year.
Ms.
Welshofer graduated Valedictorian of LaVergne High School in 2006, and is
currently attending the
University of
Tennessee at
Chattanooga
on an academic scholarship. She is majoring in Physical Therapy and hopes to
graduate with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2012.
